The 23rd China Hi-Tech Fair (CHTF) has been postponed until further notice of the updated opening time and exhibition forms.

Amid rising COVID-19 infections in some parts of the country, the fair, which was scheduled to take place at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center in Futian District from Nov. 17 to 21, will be held at a later time to ensure the health and safety of exhibitors, visitors, and working personnel, Shenzhen Special Zone Daily reported, quoting the event’s organizers.

From the second half of October, Shenzhen authorities have either delayed or canceled several trade fairs and exhibitions that were expected to be held in the fourth quarter to lower the risks of spreading the virus.

The CHTF is the country’s largest and most influential scientific and technological fair. The fair showcases and trades the most advanced technologies and products in various fields, including energy conservation, environmental protection, new-generation information technologies, high-end equipment manufacturing and new materials.

Visitors to this year’s CHTF can purchase tickets online and get information on exhibitors’ booth numbers, schedule and activities via the WeChat miniprogram “高交会随手查.” The fair’s organizers will also open an online exhibition website, allowing visitors and buyers to view exhibits and make transactions via the cloud.
