The city will suspend bus and Metro services from today to Sunday, according to a notice issued by the city’s COVID-19 prevention and control headquarters yesterday.
The interim measures will be adjusted according to the actual situation, the office said.
Housing compounds, urban villages and industrial parks across the city will impose closed-off management. Residents are advised not to leave the city unless necessary. Those who have to leave the city must show a negative 24-hour nucleic acid test report.
Previously, Futian, Luohu, Yantian, Nanshan and Bao’an districts announced Saturday that Metro and bus operators should keep passengers under 50 percent capacity.
