FAQs regarding reopening in 5 district-level areas

As Yantian, Pingshan and Guangming districts, Dapeng New Area and Shenshan Special Cooperation Zone resume normal operations today, people may have questions regarding cross-district travels among other issues. Below please find the answers given by city authorities.

Cross-district travels 

Q: Can residents living in Futian, Luohu, Nanshan, Bao'an, Longgang and Longhua districts, which are still subject to COVID lockdown control measures (hereinafter referred to as "non-zero districts"), go to their workplaces in the five district-level areas that resume work and production today, i.e. Yantian, Pingshan and Guangming districts, Dapeng New Area and Shenshan Special Cooperation Zone (hereinafter referred to as "dynamic zero districts") for work? 

A: No, residents living in the non-zero districts should continue to stay at home and avoid cross-district travels except for those involved in the epidemic prevention and control, essential services and the guarantee of supplies to Hong Kong.

Q: Can citizens living in the dynamic zero districts travel to the non-zero districts?

A: No. Cross-district travels are prohibited from the dynamic zero districts to the non-zero districts, except for those whose work is related to epidemic prevention and control, essential services and the guarantee of supplies to Hong Kong.

Public places 

Q: Have outdoor public places such as parks and plazas in the dynamic zero districts reopened? Are citizens in the dynamic zero districts allowed to join in group dancing in public squares?

A: Outdoor public places such as parks and plazas in the dynamic zero districts have reopened to the public, but gatherings, including group dancing, are prohibited. As the epidemic prevention and control situation in Shenzhen remains grave, citizens are still reminded to cut back on outdoor activities, visits and gatherings.

Cross-district travels for deliverymen

Q: Can deliverymen travel among the dynamic zero districts for work? And how about the deliverymen in the non-zero districts? Are they allowed to cross districts for work? Are they allowed to travel from the dynamic zero districts to the non-zero districts for work and vice versa?

A: Couriers and delivery workers have made significant contributions in maintaining citizens’ basic daily needs while the city carries out its three rounds of citywide nucleic acid testing. In view of the special roles they play,

- They are allowed to make cross-district trips among the dynamic zero districts;

- But they are not allowed to make cross-district trips among the non-zero districts;

- They are also not allowed to make cross-district trips from the non-zero districts to the dynamic zero districts and vice versa.

Couriers and delivery workers are reminded to take precaution measures and complete nucleic acid testing on a daily basis.

COIVD testing

Q: Are residents living in the dynamic zero districts still required to undergo the last round of the three rounds of mandatory citywide COVID testing between March 14 and 20?

A: For the health and safety of all citizens, people living in the dynamic zero districts should still take the last round of the nucleic acid testing.

Q: Will the epidemic prevention and control policies for the lockdown, prevention and control areas in the dynamic zero districts be adjusted?
