Five major job fairs of the 20th China International Exchange of Professionals (CIEP), which separately target expats, foreign students in China, returned overseas students, college students and elite professionals, will be launched online May 26, Shenzhen International Exchange Center, the organizer, announced yesterday.
Due to the recent COVID flare-ups, the CIEP organizing committee had to postpone the 20th CIEP from April 24-25 to May 26.
At the opening of the 20th CIEP, the organizer will launch its recruitment website for expats and foreign students in China to seek jobs in Shenzhen and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
“The recruitment will be held online first and then may be held on-site in Shenzhen during the second half of the year, if COVID situations permit,” Xu Jieli with Shenzhen International Exchange Center said in an interview yesterday.
At the job fair for returned overseas students, the organizer will invite Global 500 enterprises and other enterprises in finance, biopharmacy, IT, construction and property development, high-end services, education, culture and media to offer quality job offers.
Major CIEP activities including the opening ceremony, Shenzhen Forum, exhibitions and displays, and recruitment will be held online or through virtual halls at the organizer’s official website www.ciep.gov.cn.
The virtual halls will have exhibition areas displaying China’s science innovation and international exchanges, coordinated regional development, strategic and newly emerging industries, fintech and cooperation with international talent agencies.
The organizer will install its EO (Experts Online) system to provide targeted matchmaking service for enterprises, institutions from home and abroad in technology research, cooperation, transfer and job recruitment. Based on the EO system, the organizer will select the exhibitors’ supply and demand information, place it prominently on the official website for their overseas partners to seek opportunities for cooperation.
