People are required to present negative 24-hour nucleic acid test results to access residential areas, public venues and transportation in Futian District starting 12:01 a.m. June 28 as the district continues to carry out nucleic acid test screenings, according to a notice issued by the district’s COVID-19 prevention and control headquarters.

Alternatively, negative 48-hour nucleic acid test results plus a 24-hour COVID test record will also give the green health-code holder access to these places in the district.

Wholesale markets, including wet markets and agricultural produce wholesale markets, are allowed to reopen with COVID measures in place, the notice said.

Other indoor entertainment premises such as karaoke lounges, chess and card rooms, cinemas, theaters, internet cafes, bars, billiard rooms, museums, libraries, gyms, indoor swimming pools, spas and training centers will continue to suspend their indoor operations.

The interim measures are effective through Thursday, according to the notice.

Shenzhen reported five new COVID cases yesterday, including four asymptomatic carriers. Two of the infections were detected among close contacts of previous patients, one found in a control area in Futian District, one in community screening, and the last case was discovered when a person sought a test.

They have been transferred to the city's designated medical facility for COVID treatment and are in stable condition.
