The Area A of the first phase of Huanggang Xincun housing estate in Futian Subdistrict, Futian District, and the third lane of the east side of Baishizhou urban village in Shahe Subdistrict, Nanshan District, have been designated high-risk areas for COVID-19, effective from 12 p.m. yesterday, following the reports of two COVID cases in the two areas, according to notices issued by the two districts’ COVID prevention and control offices.

Residents in the two areas are required to stay at home for seven days with door-to-door services, including nucleic acid testing, being provided.

The rest areas of the first phase of Huanggang Xincun housing estate and Baishizhou urban village are medium-risk areas, where residents are required not to leave their housing complexes and one person per household is allowed to pick up their online purchases at designated points at staggered times.

According to related regulations, the two high-risk areas will be downgraded to medium-risk on the condition that no new COVID cases are reported in the following seven days and all residents test negative on the seventh day. The areas will be further downgraded to low-risk if they report zero new infection in the next three days. Accordingly, the medium-risk areas will be rated low-risk only if there is no new infections detected in the coming seven days and all residents test negative on the seventh day.

The two new COVID cases, one in Futian Subdistrict and the other in Shahe Subdistrict, were detected yesterday during community screening. They have been transferred to the Third People’s Hospital of Shenzhen for treatment and are in stable condition.
