Shenzhen reported one new local COVID-19 case yesterday. The patient was detected among people returning to Shenzhen from outside of Guangdong Province. Separately, a previous asymptomatic carrier was confirmed as a COVID patient yesterday.
They have been transferred to the emergency wards of the Third People's Hospital of Shenzhen for treatment, and are in stable condition.
Residents are urged to keep masking, wash hands frequently, maintain good ventilation and observe social distancing.
