Embracing nature in city of parks

No matter where you are in the city, a green escape is never far as Shenzhen has no shortage of parks. Shenzhen residents, regardless of age, are used to the lifestyle of going to parks to embrace nature, entertain and relax during their leisure time. Dubbed "city of 1,000 parks," Shenzhen will have 1,350 parks and at least 4,000 km of greenways by 2025 and 1,500 parks and at least 5,000 km of greenways by 2035, according to a city development plan unveiled recently.  The following photos were taken yesterday in Litchi Park, one of the oldest parks in Shenzhen that boasts many big litchi trees planted more than 500 years ago.
