Shenzhen reported eight new local COVID-19 cases, including five asymptomatic carriers, yesterday.
Four of the new cases were found among close contacts of previous patients, two were detected during routine testing of people under closed-loop management and the rest two in community screening. Separately, six previous asymptomatic carriers were confirmed as COVID patients yesterday.
All have been transferred to the Third People’s Hospital of Shenzhen for treatment. Currently, they’re in stable condition.
Residents are urged to keep masking, wash hands frequently, maintain good ventilation and observe social distancing.
