People in 6 subdistricts required to stay at home for four days

Residents in Futian District’s Yuanling, Huaqiangbei and Nanyuan subdistrics and Luohu District’s Guiyuan, Nanhu and Sungang subdistricts are required to stay at home for four days from today to Thursday due to tightened COVID-19 prevention and control measures, according to the notices issued by the districts’ anti-COVID authorities.

During the four-day period, residents in these subdistricts are ordered to stay at home except for taking nucleic acid tests on a daily basis at designated locations, purchasing daily necessities, disposing of garbage and seeking for emergency medical treatment.

Only one person in each household is allowed to go out shopping for life essentials every two days with an access card and negative 24-hour nucleic acid test results. 

Visitors are prohibited from entering all residential compounds in these subdistricts. Those from public service enterprises essential to citizens’ living needs and the city’s basic operation can enter the residential compounds with certificates issued by their employers and negative 24-hour nucleic acid test results.

In principle, all companies should switch to working from home, and suspend production and business activities. Public service enterprises and those ensuring food supply to Hong Kong can operate in closed loop management with COVID measures in place.

Business premises and stores are ordered to close temporarily except for supermarkets, wet markets, pharmacies, medical institutions and the catering businesses that only provide takeout services.

Shenzhen Metro also issued a notice this morning announcing the suspension of services in the following Metro stations: Line 1’s Guomao and Huaqiang Road stations, lines 1 and 2’s Grand Theater Station, lines 1 and 6’s Science Museum Station, Line 2’s Hubei and Yannan stations, lines 2 and 7’s Huaqiang North Station, lines 3 and 6’s Tongxinling Station, lines 3 and 7’s Huaxin Station, lines 3 and 9’s Hongling Station, Line 6’s Sports Center Station, lines 6 and 7’s Bagualing Station, Line 7’s Huangmugang, Huaqiang South, Chiwei, Sungang and Honghu stations, lines 7 and 9’s Hongling North Station, Line 9’s Yuanling, Hongling South, Wenjin, Xiangxicun, Renmin South and Ludancun stations.

Trains would pass through these Metro stations without stopping from today until further notice, according to Shenzhen Metro.

In addition, the stops of bus routes passing through the six subdistricts are also subject to temporary adjustments for four days. 

Shenzhen reported nine locally transmitted confirmed COVID-19 cases and two asymptomatic infections yesterday. Eight were close contacts of COVID patients found earlier, one was discovered in screening of key groups and the other two were detected in community screening.
