Shenzhen reported 62 new local COVID-19 cases, including 27 asymptomatic carriers, yesterday.
Forty-two of the patients were found among close contacts of previous infections, six during COVID testing of key groups of people, two when they sought a test, and 12 during community screening.
Twenty-six of them had visited Huaxing Dancing Art Center in Futian District or were close contacts of people who had visited the center.
All have been transferred to the Third People’s Hospital of Shenzhen for treatment. Currently, they’re in stable condition.
Residents are urged to keep masking, wash hands frequently, maintain good ventilation and observe social distancing.
