At entrances to public areas in Shenzhen such as communities, urban villages and office buildings, under the COVID-19 prevention and control measures, visitors must scan their health codes through the electronic guards. These guards integrate temperature, ID and health code checks, effectively and precisely implementing COVID-19 measures, as well as detecting fake codes.

The electronic guard is one of the scenarios that Corerain Technologies Co. Ltd. has applied technology in the construction of a smart city.

During a visit to the AI-led tech company in Hetao Shenzhen-Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Zone, Corerain displayed its applications in energy sector like power generation, mining and oil production, work safety scenarios in chemical plants, construction sites, ports, warehouses and industrial parks, and smart city construction.

Based on its AI-based visualized monitoring system, the platform can identify workplace risks through recognizing the behaviors of employees and their surrounding environment. The system can detect helmets, reflective clothing, flames and smoke in the workplace, and unauthorized people intruding the area.

The AI system can fully use existing cameras by transmitting the data collected to its Custom AI Streaming Accelerator (CAISA) platform for high-performance computation before streaming the results to the monitoring platform for real-time scene analysis and forecasting different work safety situations.

CAISA is the world’s first commercial artificial intelligence chip based on streaming architecture.
