Two projects from Japan and South Korea won first prize at the 2022 Finals of Innovation and Cooperation Matchmaking Competition for Youths from China, Japan and South Korea, which concluded recently in Guangming District.

Panasonic & Navinfo, a joint venture established by Panasonic Co. Ltd. and NavInfo Co. Ltd., won first prize for its digital monitoring system for NEV batteries’ full life cycle.

The other project, a double multi-amplification compressed gas injector called CK Injector, developed by CK World Co. Ltd. in South Korea, also won first prize. CK World is a company specialized in blowing tubes for industrial bag filters, a release from the China Science and Technology Exchange Center, one of the organizers, said yesterday.

A total of 18 projects entered the final competition co-organized by the Guangming District Government. The finals’ online streaming garnered some 710,000 views from China, Japan and South Korea.

For the six prizewinners, including two for second prize and two for third prize, the organizers organized one-on-one matchmaking activities with local enterprises and institutions in Guangming.

Fu Gui, an official from the China Science and Technology Exchange Center and former counselor for science and technology of the Chinese Embassy in the Republic of Korea, said the competition serves as a bridge for young scientists and innovators to meet with Chinese enterprises and creates a cooperation pattern from innovation to entrepreneurship among youths from China, South Korea and Japan.

Zeng Wufei, head of the organization department of the CPC Guangming committee, said the competition will be helpful for Guangming to attract quality talents and projects.
