Typhoon Nesat and a cold front from the north brought the city’s temperatures down from last night and will continue until tomorrow, accompanied by strong winds and rain showers.
Temperatures today are expected to stand at around 17 degrees Celsius, according to Shenzhen Municipal Meteorological Observatory. Citizens are advised to keep warm to avoid catching a cold.
Gusts are expected to reach levels 7 to 8 on land today, with heavy rains in certain regions of the city, and will continue until tomorrow at coastal and sea areas but temperatures will climb back, according to the observatory.
Typhoon Nesat was located about 414 kilometers south of the city at 3 p.m. yesterday and is expected to continue to move toward the surrounding areas of Hainan Province.
