The delegates jumped into a heated discussion talking about their understanding, feelings and enlightenment in combination with their own work and duty performance.

It was unanimously agreed that the profound work summary of the past five years and the great changes of the new era in the past 10 years is exciting and inspiring. The report is a confidence booster as it maps out a long-term and motivating strategic plan for the future development of the Party and the country.

Delegate Huang Chuping said that he fully agreed with and strongly supported Xi’s report.

According to Huang, the report shines with Marxist truth and fully reflects Xi and the CPC Central Committee’s superior political wisdom, strategic determination, strong commitment and deep feelings for the people, and fully demonstrates the latest achievements of the localization and modernization of Marxism in China.

Delegate Wang Rong said that the report is a grand blueprint for building a modern socialist country in all aspects and provides scientific and fundamental guidance for realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

The brilliant achievements of the past five years and the great changes that have taken place in the new era in the past decade are highly significant, according to Wang, who added that a series of new important thoughts, views, judgments and measures put forward by Xi will certainly inject strong impetus into the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

Delegate Meng Fanli also shared his thoughts at the group meeting. According to Meng, the report makes a macroscopic outlook on the two-step strategic plan for building a modern socialist country in all respects and scientifically plans the goals, tasks and major policies for the development of the Party and the country in the next five years and beyond.

Meng said that all sectors in Shenzhen will systematically study and implement the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress and make greater contributions in the new era with an enterprising spirit, integrity, innovation and perseverance.

Delegate Lin Keqing said that the report gives a profound analysis on the current international and domestic situation, and outlines a grand blueprint for comprehensively promoting the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation through a Chinese path to modernization.

Delegate Song Fulong said the report is a truthful Marxist programmatic document.

Song added that we must have a deep understanding of the people-centered philosophy and consolidate the Party’s ruling foundation with practical results in upholding discipline and combating corruption.

According to another delegate Chen Chunsheng, the report has pointed out that we should implement the strategy of revitalizing the nation through science and education, and strengthen the talent support for modernization.

As an educator in higher education, Chen said he has a deep understanding of this part and has confidence in the blueprint for science and education development outlined in the report.

Chen called for efforts in having an international vision and historical perspective, attaching importance to the cultivation of cultural atmosphere and social environment for talent growth, and paying attention to the introduction and cultivation of young scholars.

Delegate Liu Dan was greatly inspired by the proposal to improve environmental infrastructure as well as urban and rural human settlements in the report.

Liu said she will actively promote the green development of environmental sanitation equipment, optimize and improve the smart sanitation big data platform to help build a beautiful China.

“I will also continue to make efforts to help more migrant workers integrate into the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area,” Liu was quoted as saying.
