Xi Jinping's report related to education, science and technology aroused a heated discussion among talents in different circles in Shenzhen.

They suggested that they will make efforts to contribute to the national rejuvenation and the building of a modern socialist country in all respects, Shenzhen Special Zone Daily reported.

Liu Xufei, a machine research and development worker from Han’s Laser, said he will work harder to achieve new innovations and break foreign technology monopolies in a bid to contribute to the country’s economic development and scientific and technological innovations.

She Zhending, chairman of Shenzhen Lando Biomaterials Co. Ltd., said Xi’s report is inspiring and they will combine technological innovation with clinical needs to satisfy people’s aspirations for a better life by developing quality products.

Tang Zhiwei from Shenzhen Institute for Advanced Study of the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) said he will cultivate top talents for the country and the CPC to overcome “bottlenecks” in sci-tech innovation tasks.

“We must use our skills and specialties to produce quality products and to better manage the company,” said He Penglin, one of the city’s recognized highly skilled talent, who also highlighted the importance of focusing on daily work.

Chen Huochang from Hutchison Ports Yantian aimed to contribute more to build Yantian Port into a global first-class port and China into a strong maritime country.
