Boring work on the right side of the project — from the Dachan Bay to Mawan Bay areas — has topped 1,620 meters, sources from the China Railway Group Ltd. said Tuesday. The tunnel project is part of the 8.05-kilometer Mawan Undersea Passage, which starts at the intersection of Mawan and Yueliangwan boulevards and ends at the intersection of Dachan Bay Toll Station of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen Riverside Expressway. It will be put into operation in 2023.
