Each of these stores was registered into the intelligent system and was dispatched with a kitchen waste throwing card and an exclusive code to record the store’s behavior in garbage sorting. With information collected in the intelligent system, Shekou Subdistrict could help stores with kitchen waste sorting and stay informed with the stations’ garbage collection and transportation situation.
Subdistrict officials and volunteers who are responsible for garbage sorting will train the stores on how to sort the trash and how to use the kitchen waste throwing card and will guide them sort kitchen waste properly.
In the future, Shekou Subdistrict will expand the use of the intelligent kitchen waste collection stations to better improve garbage sorting and management mechanism to the restaurants and fruit and vegetable stores in Shekou.
