The 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) is underway in Beijing. Officials and party leaders from various countries say the meeting is crucial for China's future development.

Pakistani Ambassador to China Moin ul Haque told Xinhua in an interview that the 20th CPC National Congress will promote the high quality development of China and bring it one step closer to achieving the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

Since the 18th CPC National Congress in 2012, China has made remarkable accomplishments in all fields of human endeavors, he said. He was impressed by the transformation of the education, health and social security sectors, as well as China's role in leading global efforts for the mitigation of climate change and exploring new frontiers in space technology, quantum computing, AI and medicinal research.

Moroccan Ambassador to China Aziz Mekouar told Xinhua that the 20th CPC National Congress provides invaluable insight into China's future path.

Mekouar described China's development over the past 10 years as "unprecedented" and said he is inspired by the sheer speed, ingenuity and dedication, with which Chinese people have built modern China under the leadership of the CPC.

He applauded the diverse age, ethnicity and gender of the delegates to the congress, saying the diversity shines a bright light on the entire spectrum of the society. Mekouar said he is deeply touched by China's great achievements in the past 10 years.

"I have been very fortunate to travel across the vast and beautiful Chinese land, and I have witnessed firsthand the vitality of its people, maturity of its infrastructure and openness of its cities, be they big or small, to the outside world," said Mekouar.

Iraqi Ambassador to China Shorsh Khalid Said told Xinhua in a recent interview that he believes China will achieve more brilliant accomplishments under the leadership of the CPC.

Noting that the 20th CPC National Congress of the CPC is of great significance to China and the world, Said said he was deeply impressed by China's achievements and the concept of putting people front and center, which are mentioned in a report at the opening session of the congress.

"In the past decade, China has made steady progress and accumulated valuable experience in modernizing the country's governance system and capacity," Said said.

Said noticed that "people" is a keyword that appears many times in the report. Recalling the experience during his visit to Xinjiang, Said said that Xinjiang has made history by eradicating absolute poverty, building sound infrastructures and achieving high-level development in local economy, society and culture.
