Shenzhen has implemented strict measures requiring visitors to public areas to scan venue codes. App-based cabs and traditional taxis have also required passengers to scan the venue code and show 48-hour nucleic acid test reports when taking a ride.
A cab driver was recently under investigation for not requiring all passengers to scan the venue code and had one passenger with a red health code take a ride.
The driver has been disqualified from driving and the app-based platform was also put under investigation, according to the municipal transport bureau.
Separately, two people from outside Shenzhen were put under investigation for violating COVID-19 prevention and control measures by Nanshan police recently, the Shenzhen government information office said at a press conference Tuesday.
