Residents are no longer required to present negative nucleic acid test results when using public transport within Shenzhen, including buses, Metro, taxis, and ride-hailing services, according to a notice released earlier today by the city’s transport authority.

Residents still need to scan the venue code and present their health code when using the above means of transportation, according to the notice.

The same measures are also adopted at the city’s public parks, botanical gardens, outdoor tourist destinations, and pharmacies, according to notices released earlier today by the Shenzhen Municipal Urban Administration and Law Enforcement Bureau, Shenzhen Municipal Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau, and Shenzhen Municipal Market Supervision and Regulation Bureau.

However, residents still need to present a negative nucleic acid test result issued within 72 hours and scan the venue code when going to a farmers’ market, according to the notice by the Market Supervision and Regulation Bureau.

The measures take effect immediately. Residents are still urged to wear masks and keep social distancing at public venues.
