8 parks open in Guangming

In addition to the popular Hongqiao Park (also known as Red Bridge Park), Honghuashan Park, Zuo’an Science and Technology Park and Dadingling Greenway, eight new parks have opened in Guangming District recently. Many are pocket parks inside residential communities.

Minghu City Park 明湖城市公园

Located on the east side of Guangming International Car Town, Minghu City Park, covering 580,000 square meters, has a big reservoir with picturesque landscape. Since it’s next to the car town, car-themed decorations can be seen in the park.

Baihua Park

Baihua Park 百花园

This park is unique for its 600-meter-long corridor of vine flowers such as flamevine and birdwood’s mucuna. There are also three book bars, hiking trails and year-round flowers in the park.

Baicao Park 百草园

Baicao Park

With Chinese herbals as its theme, this park is next to Shenzhen Chinese Medicine Hospital. The park’s squares, corridors, greenway and walls are named after Chinese herbals.

Science City Smart Park 科学城智慧公园

Science City Smart Park

Using the sponge city design concept, this park realizes flood management on its two lakes and Xinqiang River nearby, strengthening the local ecological infrastructure and drainage systems.

Yuqin Park 玉沁园

Covering 3,600 square meters, Yuqin Park is located in Tianliao Community in Yutang Subdistrict. Sand pits, litchi trees and greeways give vitality to this pocket park.

Changle Park 长乐公园

Changle Park

With its design inspired by the lion dance and qilin dance, this park promotes traditional Chinese culture while providing fitness services to the neighborhood.

Xitian Park 西田公园

This community park covers 43,000 square meters, with a dry fountain square, plank roads, a children’s activity center and grassland.

Xiguangyue Park 西光月公园

Xiguangyue Park

The park is next to the Sun Yat-sen University Shenzhen Campus. Covering 42,300 square meters, the park has a long round footbridge from which visitors can view the entire park landscape. With sports tracks and children’s recreational facilities, the park is a joyful place for the neighborhood to enjoy nature and fitness.
