China will remove digital itinerary card service starting tomorrow, Xinhua reported.

The digital itinerary card service was jointly initiated Feb. 13, 2020, by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Chinese Academy of Information and Communication Technology, and three major telecom operators, in response to the breakout of the COVID-19 pandemic. The service was aimed to provide technical support for epidemic prevention and control.

The service was officially launched March 6 the same year, enabling mobile phone users nationwide to prove their records of traveling to places they had stayed for more than four hours over the past 14 days.
