A pair of trains between Shenzhen and Sanya will operate in the new schedule for the first quarter of 2023 that took effect Dec. 26.
A regular train trip from Shenzhen to Sanya usually takes about 19 hours. The train passes by Guangzhou, Foshan, Moming, Zhanjiang West, Leizhou, Xuwen, Haikou and Dongfang. According to railway ticketing website www.12306.cn, fares for trains Z8002/3 and Z8004/1 range from 268.5 yuan (US$38.5) to 1,202.5 yuan.
In the new schedule, Shenzhen Railway Station will operate 93 pairs of regular trains daily, while Shenzhen East Railway Station will operate 26 pairs. Shenzhen North Railway Station will operate 264 pairs of high-speed trains on the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong high-speed rail link, 164.5 pairs on the Hangzhou-Shenzhen railway and 105 pairs on the Beijing-Hong Kong railway.
In the new schedule, the railway operator will also add 4.5 pairs of trains including 3.5 pairs of high-speed trains. They include trains from Shenzhen to Guangzhou, Chaoshan and Sanya.
