At the main venue of the 18th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF), Hall 12 is designated for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).
In an exhibition area spanning 1,353 square meters, the Guangdong delegation brings over 700 cultural products and 67 leading cultural enterprises to display its achievements in digital culture, cultural and tourism integration, cultural creativity, media convergence and high-quality development of the cultural industry.
This year marks Hong Kong’s 15th year to participate in the ICIF. Hong Kong’s independent exhibition area, which covers 180 square meters, displays products in graphic design, product design, fashion design, arts and porcelain.
Macao has a pavilion to introduce its brands, cultural IP and creative designs.
Over the years, Guangdong has been trying to be a leader in digital culture, a hub for cultural creativity and a demonstration area for cultural and tourism integration. It has implemented the digitalization strategy in the cultural industry and promoted integration of the industrial and digital chains. It has grown rapidly in terms of digital creativity, digital publication, online audiovisuals and online gaming.
Guangdong has five State-level full-region tourism demonstration areas and six cities were selected as national pilot cities for cultural and tourism consumption. Guangdong Province has long taken the lead in the country in both total tourism revenue and foreign exchange earnings from tourism.
In 2021, Guangdong’s tourism revenue reached 543.3 billion yuan (US$78.04 billion), up by 15.8% over the previous year.
