The registration for the Shenzhen Marathon 2022 has started and will end at 5 p.m. tomorrow, the marathon’s organizing committee said Saturday.
Runners can log onto the marathon’s official website (http://shenzhenmarathon.org.cn) or WeChat account “深圳马拉松官方” (gh_29398b1548ce) to register. The results of the draw will be announced at a later date.
The Shenzhen Marathon 2022, set to take place Feb. 19, is expected to have 20,000 runners. There will be 10,000 runners each to join the full and half marathons.
The full-marathon runners will be divided into men’s group, women’s group and 300 teams, while the half-marathon runners will be divided into men’s and women’s groups.
The organizing committee will invite international and domestic professional runners who meet the entry requirements to participate in the competition as specially invited athletes.
The route will begin from Civic Center in Futian District, going west along Shennan Boulevard and passing through Futian, Nanshan, Bao’an and Qianhai. The finish line will be at Qianhaishi Park.
It will take the runners through the city’s landmarks such as Window of the World, Dashahe Park, Shenzhen Bay Sports Center, Talent Park, Zhongxin Road and Nantou Ancient Town.
The organizing committee reminded that all runners who love and support the Shenzhen Marathon are welcome to register.
