The exhibition venue will cover an area of about 30,000 square meters. To date, it has attracted some 676 exhibitors. The exhibition will also include over 10 industrial forums and other supporting events to enhance public interaction.

The exhibition will mainly display products in eight aspects, including domestic and foreign aquatic products and frozen products, refined aquatic foods and high-end ingredients, fishing equipment technology, and products under the Shenzhen Standard program.

The international tuna trading center and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) fishery industry alliance are expected to be inaugurated during the exhibition, said Wang Yan, deputy general manager of Shenzhen Yantian Port Group Co. Ltd., the organizer of the exhibition, at the conference.

The exhibition is under the guidance of the Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Guangdong Province. It is expected to become a major event in the global fishing industry.

Aquatic products under the Shenzhen Standard program will be displayed at the first Shenzhen International Fisheries and Seafood Exhibition.

Aquatic products under the Shenzhen Standard program will also be displayed at the exhibition. At present, a total of 45 aquatic products of over 20 types manufactured by 21 companies have been included in the Shenzhen Standard program. Among them, 26 have been sold on market, while the 19 remaining products are undergoing final marketing, according to Mo Xiling, deputy director of the Shenzhen Administration for Market Regulation.

Some 15 leading companies in the fishing industry and 11 aquatic product production bases will participate in the themed exhibition zone featuring products under the Shenzhen Standard program.

Shenzhen has a geographic advantage to host the exhibition as a major city in the GBA with huge consumption potential.

Shenzhen issued its modern fishing industry development plan (2022 to 2025) to advance the high-quality development of the fishing industry and will unveil implementation opinion and related measures. As of now, Shenzhen has set 12 overseas offices to enhance its global influence in terms of the fishing industry.
