Shenzhen Marathon set to return Feb. 19

After a three-year hiatus, Shenzhen Marathon is set to return Feb. 19, organizers said at a press conference this morning. The long-awaited event will start at 7:30 a.m. at the Civic Center. 

A total of 20,000 participants will run the marathon, with half being full marathon racers from 14 countries and regions. Among them, 34 are foreign nationals and 78 are from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. The remaining 10,000 participants are half marathon runners from 23 countries and regions, with 48 foreign nationals and 100 from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, according to the press conference. Following the press conference, the racers’ outfits and the finisher’s medals were officially unveiled at a launch ceremony.
