Dance ‘T.I.M.E.’

Dancer-choreographer Xie Xin will present a modern dance show “T.I.M.E.” Xie’s dance company attaches great importance to exploring the unique language of the body and enhancing physical techniques to the extreme. Her works highlight the transformation of technique into humanistic expression, with all the physical possibilities used to find the most accurate body language.

Violinist Huang Mengla, an associate professor at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, will play Franck’s “Violin Sonata in A Major,” Sarasate’s “Zigeunerweisen,” Elgar’s “Salut d’amour,” Ysaye’s “Reve D’enfant,” Paganini’s “Cantabile” and Tan Dun’s “Sorrow in Desert.” In 2002, Huang won first prize at the prestigious Paganini International Violin Competition in Italy.
