By 2025, 30 GPs and 30 community nurses will be trained in batches, and five Hong Kong family medicine consulting rooms will be set up.

Meanwhile, five GPs and five general practice nurses will be trained for Yantian in 2023.

Yantian District has also planned to cultivate a group of GPs with international service capabilities, build a number of Hong Kong family medicine consulting rooms, open up a new path for cross-border commercial insurance payment between Hong Kong and the mainland, and enhance Shenzhen-Hong Kong medical collaboration.

The consulting room’s inauguration also offered an opportunity to explore new development models for healthcare service integration in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, according to the district’s health bureau.
