Main construction begins on SZ section of SZ-Jiangmen rail

The main construction on the Shenzhen section of Shenzhen-Jiangmen High-speed Railway began Thursday as workers from China Railway No. 4 Engineering Group Co. drove the first pile foundation into the ground at a site in Shiyan, Bao'an District. The 116-kilometer railway begins at Xili in Shenzhen and passes through Dongguan, Guangzhou and Zhongshan before ending in Jiangmen City in Guangdong Province. Upon completion in 2028, the rail will help further facilitate travels for people in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
