Chinese golden rain trees 复羽叶栾树

The golden rain tree, a medium-sized deciduous tree, is a great urban flowering tree that has spreading branches but a rounded crown. In Shenzhen, it blooms from July to September with clusters of small yellow flowers. When the blooms are finished, the petals drop to the ground, creating what resembes a “golden rain” blanket, hence the common name. Fairy Lake Botanical Garden has many such trees. File photos
