A bazaar was held at Futian Mangrove Ecological Park yesterday, the 45th National Tree Planting Day. Organized by Shenzhen Mangrove Conservation Foundation, the event aimed to increase public understanding of the importance of mangroves and awareness of mangrove ecosystems protection. Shenzhen, which will be home to world's first international mangrove center, has 296 hectares of mangrove forests, according to official data.
