“Shenzhen Daily values the exchanges and collaboration with SZU and appreciates its CIS interns in the past two years, who have exhibited strong teamwork spirit and high academic ability during their internship,” Shen said, anticipating closer ties between the two parties in the upcoming years.

“The establishment of the internship base serves as a link between past and future bilateral collaboration,” Dai said.

According to Dai, CIS attaches great importance to discipline innovation and talent cultivation, with emphasis on foreign language and literature, area studies, and international communication studies.

Dai hoped to build the internship base into a top-notch platform to boost the development of both sides by making good use of the talents and resources available at SZU and fully utilizing Shenzhen Daily’s position as an international media outlet.

Shenzhen Daily and CIS have had close cooperation since 2019. As of this spring, 30 CIS students have joined Shenzhen Daily’s internship program, according to SZU.
