'The Peony Pavilion'
The Jiangsu Suzhou Kunqu Opera Theater will present “The Peony Pavilion” written by Tang Xianzu during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) and adapted by modern writer Pai Hsien-yung in 2004. The performance focuses on the love story between Du Liniang and Liu Mengmei. Kunqu opera is quite mild, exquisite, sentimental and melodious.
