More than 5,000 cutting-edge technologies and innovative products from over 1,200 enterprises were showcased at the 11th China Information Technology Expo (CITE) at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center between Friday and yesterday, Shenzhen Economic Daily reported.

The 80,000-square-meter exhibition area had five halls, focusing on seven themes including smart homes, new displays, high-end semiconductors, innovation on information technology applications, big data and storage, basic components and intelligent connected vehicles.

CITE has been held in Shenzhen for 11 years, and it has become a globally renowned industry event, providing a bridge to promote communication and cooperation in the information technology industry at home and abroad.

In 2022, the output value of Shenzhen’s electronic information manufacturing industry reached 2.48 trillion yuan (US$360.97 billion), accounting for about one-sixth of the industry’s scale in China and half of that in Guangdong Province.

The city’s production of mobile communication base stations, color televisions and mobile phones has ranked among the top in the country.
