1. Introduction

The demonstration line of Longhua Tram is 11.724km in length with a total of 20 stations. The average distance between stations is 597m. The distance between the Meilong North and Bilan stations is 900.5m, which is the longest on the tram line, while the shortest distance, which is 317.5m, falls between the Dahe and Dongan stations. The total length of the trunk line is 8.59km, including 15 stations from Qinghu to Xinlan station, and the total length of the branch line is 3.134km, including five stations from Dahe to Xiawei station.

2. Routes and service hours

Route 1: The tram section between Qinghu and Xinlan station runs one way and contains a downstream and a upstream line. The tram runs from Qinghu to Xinlan Station via the downstream line, then turns back at Xinlan Station, and returns to Qinghu Station via the upstream line.

Route 2: The tram section between Qinghu and Xiawei stations run one way and contains a downstream and a upstream line. The tram runs from Qinghu Station to Dahe Intersection via the downstream line, then turn to the downstream branch line and continue to Haowei Station, turn back after Haowei Station to run to Dahe Intersection via the upstream line, and then return to Qinghu Station via the upstream main line.

3. Operation

The T1 and T2 lines of Longhua Tram were put into operation on October 28, 2017. As of December 31, 2020, it has been operated for 1,161 days and handled a total of 28.17 million passengers so far, of which the highest daily passenger volume is 41,400, and the average daily passenger volume is 24,300.
