Pingshan Library

Pingshan Library is located in the cultural settlement of Pingshan, Huide Road, Pingshan District, Shenzhen, adjacent to the beautiful Pingshan Central Park. It has a construction area of about 13,200 square meters, a total of 10 floors, more than 800 reading seats and a total designed collection of 1.2 million books. There are special spaces such as the Starlight Book Room, Picture-Book Hall, Public Reading Culture Experience Hall, Celebrity Study Room, and Music Reading Space. Pingshan Cultural Cluster is composed of Pingshan Library, Pingshan Art Museum, Pingshan Theater, Pingshan Exhibition Center, Pingshan Experience Gallery of Literary and Artistic Creation, Pingshan Conference Center, Pingshan Book City, and Pingshan Movie Theater. Covering an area of about 74,000m2, it is a cultural landmark in east Shenzhen.

Pingshan Library was officially opened on March 23, 2019. Mr. Zhou Guoping, a famous philosopher, writer and scholar, was appointed as the first Librarian. Embracing the philosophy of "Opening the Wisdom of Life/Inheriting the Nobility of Spirit", Pingshan Library aims to run itself as a university, an incubator and energy source for cultural brands, and a spiritual home to the public. It continues to innovate the mechanism, develop its features, brands and reading culture, and lead reading for everyone, trying to become a public library that boasts brand attractiveness, cultural influence and regional radiation, as well as a spiritual home that enjoys great popularity.
