Guangming Library

Guangming District Library (New Library) was completed in September, 2020 with a total construction area of 35,496.8 m2. It is a national first-class public library, one of the landmark cultural buildings in Guangming District, and also the document information resource guarantee center in Guangming District. It is designed to collect 1 million books, 1,680 reading seats, subscribe to more than 1,000 kinds of newspapers and periodicals across the country, and serve more than 100 readers' computers and various electronic resources. The whole library is equipped with children's reading area, reader self-study room, youth reading area, 24-hour self-service library, classic reading room, senior reading area, visually impaired reading area, social science reading area, natural science reading area, and local literature reading area, Featured literature reading area, newspapers and periodicals reading area, multimedia reading area and multifunctional lecture hall. Guangming District Library has fully implemented advanced self-service borrowing and returning service system, automatic sorting system, and smart library system of book kiosk to provide self-service service for readers.
