Two intelligent vertical parking facilities in Longhua District, namely the Minzi Comprehensive Parking Facility and the Guanlan Dashuikeng Comprehensive Parking Facility, will be put into operation in the second half of the year.

The Minzhi parking facility, which is located at the southeast corner of the intersection of Fulong and Jianshang roads, is a 13-story building with two underground floors. Covering an area of 19,779 square meters and with a floor space of 96,235 square meters, the facility can accommodate 588 buses and 190 cars. Additionally, it features 15 maintenance slots and 208 charging poles primarily designed for parking, charging and maintenance of new energy vehicles (NEVs).

The Dashuikeng parking facility is situated north of the intersection of Longlan Boulevard and Shijing Road in Guanlan. Covering an area of 21,259 square meters and with a floor space of 104,103 square meters, the facility can accommodate 600 buses and 256 cars.

The parking facilities are becoming intelligent with the application of technologies such as license plate recognition systems, parking guidance systems, car-tracking systems and cloud-based fee collection systems.

During the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025), Shenzhen plans to build 10 vertical parking facilities that offer a 300,000-square-meter parking space for NEVs. The 10 facilities will be built in seven districts.
