The three-day Chic Hong Kong shopping festival kicked off at COCO Park in Futian District on Friday, where over 130 brands and nearly 80 exhibitors from Hong Kong aimed to bring authentic Hong Kong food, lifestyle and fashion to consumers in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).

The festival consisted of three themed zones of Living, Style and Taste, where products including consumer electronics, household supplies, clothes and accessories, food and beverage, and health products were exhibited.

It was the first time for about 40% of the 80 exhibitors to promote their products on the mainland.

Nicole Cheung, founder and marketing director of Hong Kong fashion brand Maison Oeuvre, said they wanted to examine if their products can capture the hearts of mainland consumers before considering ways to expand business on the mainland. The brand was established in 2020 and is currently focusing on the U.S. market.

The festival was jointly organized by the Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. It is the first large-scale event to promote Hong Kong fashion products in the GBA since the checkpoints between Shenzhen and Hong Kong fully reopened this year.
