As visitors stepped into Halls 3 and 4 at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center in Futian District the past weekend, they were greeted by the lively atmosphere of the 11th China (Shenzhen) International Pet Supplies Exhibition and Global Pet Cross-border E-commerce Fair.

The highly anticipated pet fair, presenting products from more than 3,000 renowned brands brought by over 300 domestic and international exhibitors, is expected to receive more than 75,000 attendees before it concludes tomorrow.

The event has witnessed a remarkable influx of pet owners, many of whom brought their beloved furry friends along for the experience. Halls 3 and 4 buzzed with activity as visitors engaged in a wide array of activities. They explored the latest gadgets for their pets, eagerly queued for complimentary sample packs, and connected with friends while partaking in interactive events.

Among the visitors was a woman named Zhai, who arrived at the fair Saturday, pushing her dog in a stroller.

Zhai expressed her delight at the pet-friendly atmosphere, emphasizing how it provided a wonderful opportunity for dogs to socialize with the outside world. Her canine companion, nestled comfortably in the stroller, reveled in the attention and adoration of passers-by, wagging its tail with joy.

Zhai, who had rescued her dog from the street 11 years ago, said that the fair provided her furry friend with the chance to explore a diverse range of food options, aiding her in making well-informed decisions about the dog’s preferred meals.

Another regular visitor to the pet fair, a cat owner surnamed Li, said she kept an eye on the intelligent equipment as she has three cats at home. “I’m here to find smart devices that can assist with their eating, drinking and litter needs, especially when I’m away for work,” Li said.

She added that she intended to compare prices, quality, materials, and features, such as automatic cleaning capabilities, when purchasing water dispensers from different brands. However, Li noted that there were limited options in this category at the pet fair and expressed her hope for a broader selection in future editions of the event.
