Now, elegant red-clay teapots from Chaozhou can be admired at a Nanshan Museum exhibition.

Marking the 44th anniversary of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, a new exhibition delves into the significant events in Shenzhen since reform and opening up. Through 123 paintings, photos, videos, sculptures, and personal memorabilia, the exhibition brings to life the transformations in people’s lives and the cityscape over the years.

The lobby of the Shenzhen branch of Bright Eye (“Purui” in pinyin) Hospital, a private hospital chain listed on the ChiNext board, was turned into a mini exhibition hall yesterday, attracting more than 100 senior citizens from nearby communities.

An exhibition at the Ancient Art Division of the Shenzhen Museum showcases over 100 beds, porcelain pillows, and bed decorations dating from the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) to the first half of the 20th century. The exhibits, drawn from the museum’s extensive collection, include 34 beds contributed by Shenzhen resident Zhang Zhixian. The elaborate decorations, dazzling carvings, and unique mortise-and-tenon wooden structures featured on these beds offer a glimpse into the rich tapestry of traditional Chinese culture.

The spiral-shaped venue at Zone H of Bao’an Coastal Lounge Bridge, known as the Baywalk, has been turned into an immersive outdoor digital art theater.
