With the rise of artificial intelligence (AI) and its diverse applications, the second edition of Design Shenzhen is poised to spark exciting dialogues. Taking place from March 21 to 24 at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center in Futian District, the event will gather leading design brands and innovative products from around the globe.

Themed "Fusion of Design and Technology," the four-day event will delve into the multifaceted interactions between AI and design. Attendees can expect discussions on the current state and future trends of AI integration within various design fields, including interior design, architecture, and commercial design.

For instance, the main forum, which will be held on the second day of the event, will gather together renowned designers and architects like Leon Krykhtin and Martha Tsigkari to explore how AI can revolutionize the design industry.

Among the prominent exhibitors, Samsung, a pioneer in smart phones, wearable devices and computer technologies, will display products that embody MicroLED display technology, color expressions and new advancements.

Design Shenzhen collaborates with the art consultancy brand TalKU for the "DAST Technology and Art Application Special Exhibition." DAST is an acronym for “Design, Art, Social and Tech,” representing a new model focused on revitalizing commercial real estate. This feature will be displayed in an 810 square meter area, showcasing a miniature scene of this model. It combines form, content, and experience to provide diverse and effective marketing solutions for commercial real estate.

Other highlights at the annual design event will include Good Design Select and Idea Box. Good Design Select was curated by Industrial designer ShiXiaoxi in a collaboration with G-Mark Japan Good Design Award. Through the exhibition's "Why is this good design" approach, audiences can closely experience how award-winning Chinese designs are born from various perspectives such as concepts, culture, materials, engineering, craftsmanship, form, process, color, production, and brand vision, thereby promoting the popularization of design. Inspired by the concept of a "box" and revolving around "lifestyle," Idea Box aims to create a complete ecosystem for object design. It connects domestic and international quality channels to help brands grow commercially. In 2024, Idea Box will double in size and feature sustainable, eco-friendly construction methods. It introduces two exciting new sections: "New Idea," showcasing the latest products and trends from design brands, and "Good Idea," extending the reach of design into more areas, bringing the audience a variety of excellent "good designs" that make life more splendid through design.

Design Shenzhen is a new addition to the event portfolio of Design Shanghai, Asia’s largest and most influential design fair. The inaugural event was held in Shenzhen last February.
