Industrial fair showcases cutting-edge equipment, technologies

The 2024 Shenzhen International Industrial Manufacturing Technology and Equipment Exhibition kicked off at the Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center in Bao’an District yesterday, gathering over 2,000 enterprises from upstream and downstream industry chains to show their high-end equipment and advanced manufacturing technology.

The exhibition, with an area covering more than 200,000 square meters, has become the barometer for the equipment manufacturing industry and a professional platform for major industrial players. It features two main thematic exhibitions – one for the high-end equipment industrial cluster and one for the advanced manufacturing technology industrial cluster.

The high-end equipment industrial cluster exhibition features three themed exhibition areas for vertical industry chains, namely metal cutting machineries, metal forming machineries, and industrial parts. The advanced manufacturing technology industrial cluster exhibition covers robots and automation equipment, intelligent electronic manufacturing, as well as the wire and cable industries.

The exhibition also saw many brands debuting their new products regionally, nationally, and globally in South China to meet the rapidly growing industrial demands in semiconductors, new energy vehicles, consumer electronics, medical devices, aerospace, and others. International companies such as Yamazaki Mazak debuted its DUAL TURN200 with opposing twin spindles and twin turret CNC lathe, along with the FFV-400/30L gantry automation. Makino introduced its high-performance five-axis CNC machine N2-5XA as a first in China, while Mitsubishi Electric debutedits SG8P electric discharge machining system.

Shenzhen-based Hero Laser released its new product, the Easy-Welder air-cooled handheld laser welding machine; and SSZN Science and Technology Co. Ltd. launched its new edge measurement sensor using correlative laser technology.

Also during the exhibition, over 80 high-quality forums will be held on precision manufacturing, new energy technology, medical devices, and smart electronic and intelligent manufacturing. Several procurement and supplier matchmaking sessions will be conducted to help enterprises reduce costs, increase efficiency, and strengthen supply chains. According to the organizers, the exhibition is expected to attract more than 100,000 visitors.
