Dafen Village, located in Buji in Longgang District, is known as the "first oil painting village in China." This small village, covering only 0.4 km2, is home to over 1,800 galleries and art institutions, more than 60 famous enterprises and about 8,000 oil painting artists.

​He Xiangning Art Museum was built in Shenzhen on May 13, 1995 and opened on April 18, 1997 with the approval of the Central Government.

Shenzhen Guan Shanyue Art Museum is a national non-profit art museum dedicated to the cultural communication, named after Mr. Guan Shanyue, the famous Chinese painting artist, educator and master of the Lingnan School of Chinese painting.
