Guangming District in Shenzhen is set to unveil a new cultural landmark, the Honghuashan Sports Center, as reported by Shenzhen Guangming WeChat account.

An engaging English Salon event was hosted by the Foreign Affairs Bureau of Guangming District in collaboration with Times High Tech Park on Nov. 1.

​Guangming District welcomed a new cultural and sports pinnacle on Nov. 1 with the grand opening of the Maozhou River Sports and Arts Center, the inaugural facility among the district's top 10 cultural and sports venues.

Guangming District boasts the city's most extensive per capita green spaces.

The regional GDP of the district for the first three quarters of 2024 was reported at 118.58 billion yuan (US$16.6 billion), reflecting an 8% year-on-year growth. The primary industry experienced a 17.5% decrease in value added, standing at 151 million yuan, while the secondary industry saw a notable 10.4% growth, reaching 86.6 billion yuan. The tertiary industry marked a 2.2% growth, totaling 31.83 billion yuan.

The Sports Park in the Loucun community in Guangming District hosted a unique English-style football salon on Oct. 18, drawing over 20 families passionate about languages and sports.

In a nod to their outstanding contributions to the new energy sector, four enterprises from Guangming District have secured coveted positions on the prestigious "2024 Global New Energy Enterprises Top 500 List."

A helicopter shuttle service was recently inaugurated in Guangming District, significantly cutting down the commute time from Guangming Science City to downtown Shenzhen to under 15 minutes.
