Shenzhen Library

Located in Futian CBD, Shenzhen Library, with an area of 49,589 square meters, is the largest library in town. It is part of a complex that includes Shenzhen Concert Hall and Shenzhen Book City. It provides visitors with 2,500 seats, more than 2 million books and 1 million online reading materials.

You can go to Shenzhen Library and choose some books to read in your leisure time. If you want to borrow books from the library, you have to hold a library card. Here is some information about the library card.

1. Bring your ID(passport) and a one inch photo to the library and fill out an application chart for a library card;

2. To borrow books, you have to save money as deposit in your library card and activate it. (100 yuan deposit to borrow up to 5 Chinese books;200 yuan deposit to borrow 1 foreign books)

3. Renew your card once every two years;

4. Applicants must be 14 and over.
