An unknown wonderland in Jiangxi
When talking about coastal cities in China, Gulangyu Island in Xiamen is usually one of the first names that come to mind.
The 30th parallel north passes through or nearby countless world wonders, such as the Qiantang River famous for its tidal bore in China, the Hanging Garden of Babylon, the Dead Sea bordered by Jordan to the east, Bermuda in the North Atlantic Ocean and the ancient Maya civilization, to name just a few.
Although Shenzhen is known as a young city of about 40 years, it actually has a long history. In fact, there are several ancient cultural sites that remain in the city.
Recently, small town Yongfu in Longyan, Fujian Province has risen to WeChat stardom for its seemingly never-ending paths of cherry blossom trees meandering through fragrant tea plantations, the site becoming a popular feature on TV and tourists’ WeChat moments.
