Thanks to the name of the restaurant, Congwang Noodles, which happens to be a highly recommended dish from an episode of the popular foodie documentary “A Bite of China,” long queues have snaked their way out of the front door.
Chongqing natives are known for their love of hotpot, but they are equally into spicy noodles. Soaked in luscious pork oil, hot chilis and refreshing green Chinese coriander, the noodles have the typical spicy and numbing taste unique to Sichuan dishes. Too strong for some but perfect for others, it will make fans come back for more of the thrilling dish.
The eatery also offers many other delicacies like wontons, spicy chicken salad, bean noodles and egg dumplings with shrimp and mushrooms, all cooked in the authentic Chongqing style.
What’s a better time to try some spicy food than when the cold weather is around? If you have grown weary of malatang, come and try Congwang Noodles, where every dish is carefully prepared with quality ingredients.
